Yea I definitely should have done this draft differently. I was trying to draft a more aggro deck and this was early in the format where I thought Grizzly Bears were key to winning. I did not have alot of experience drafting the set yet. Looking back on this draft I was way wrong with many of the picks.

This draft was from awhile ago, I definitely agree that I was over valuing the rgw aggro and it is not as good as I thought. I agree that I should have taken the Bloodpyre Elemental instead of the Ripclan Crasher. Pack three Pick 9 I do not believe the pick actually matters because neither card will make the main deck, I thought I might as well have a Sideboard card vs the unearth deck.

Heya!

Another draft, let's see.

Pack 1 pick 4: The Elf is okay...but I would have taken Bone splinters, since the elf is nothing more than a filler, and we can get that later.

Pack 1 pick 8: I like both the Letou (as a filler) and blister beetle as a semi-trick here. Capsule is okay, but I havn't found it that usefull yet.

Pack 1 pick 10: I hate obelisks, I would have taken the Deathgreater any day.

Pack 2 pick 6: The bloodpyre is good, but the Stinger is better. He might be one of the best commons in Shards and he gives you boardcontrol and 1 damage a turn. He's really sick if you get a Quiteous Spike to go with him :)

Pack 2 pick 9: I really disslike the Gustrider. Overpriced and never makes the deck. I would have taken the call to heel, since that is a possible splash/something another player might find usefull.

Pack 3 pick 2: I think you made the right pick, since godsire is a true bomb. The only other real option would have been the Drudi...or possibly Bant charm.

Pack 3 pick 5: I value the Blessing slightly higher, but your pick is good as well, a 50/50 I think.

Pack 3 pick 7: I hate obelisks, and the Steward is actually a very good card that might accelerate you.

Pack 3 pick 8: I think the Squire is better, in a stalemate he makes your single evasion guy that much harder to deal with.

Heya!

I agree with most of your picks actually, but two stands out as simply wrong in my book.

Pack 3, pick 2: The Thrinax, the Visionary and the Bloodpyre are all strictly better than the 2/2 haste guy. I also really like Drumhunter and since you seem to be going into a possibly power 5 theme, he's solid. If he sticks around, he's a great card advantage. If he gets killed by removal, well that's one less spell that won't kill one of your bombs.

Pack 3, pick 9: I would have taken the Welkin guide. He's won me enough matches to be solid in my book, especially when you toss a 5 power guy up in the air...and he leaves a body with evasion. Usually one of the last cards to make the deck (amongst choices 20-23), but he's never really disappointed me.
